Stow Has Introduced Frame Type 28 - Watch Out, Because the Difference with Type 18 Is Not Visible

For some time now, Stow has had a new upright type in its range: Type PLUPA 28. This has made frame type 28 available for warehouse layouts. This frame type has, naturally, been given the code PLFB 28.

The dimensions of type 28 are identical to those of type 18

What stands out about upright PLUPA 28 is that it is identical to the already familiar PLUPA 18:

  • Upright width: 120 mm
  • Upright depth: 65 mm
  • Material thickness: 2.5 mm

This means the difference with type 18 cannot be measured in a warehouse environment.

The difference between type 18 and 28 is the steel grade

The only difference between type 18 and 28 is the steel grade used. Type 28 is manufactured from S420 steel, just like types 31 and 34, while type 18 is made from S355 steel, like most of Stow's uprights.

The only way to recognize the difference in a warehouse environment is via the stamping on the upright, which states the upright type.
