This Polypal 2C-beam is a load-bearing beam for pallet racking and, together with the frames, forms the level on which pallets or carriers rest. With a length of 2900 mm and a profile of 120 x 50 mm, this is a commonly used solution for building or restoring racking bays. The beam is supplied including 2 locking pins, so the connection with the frame can be secured.
Application in the warehouse
In a warehouse environment, the right beam determines the layout, load-bearing structure and working safety of the racking. In accordance with NEN-EN 15512, a minimum clearance of 75 mm between pallets is maintained, corresponding to an average maximum pallet width of 866.7 mm. Alternatively, a combination of 2 euro pallets and 1 block pallet (three pallets in total) also fits. This length is often chosen for racking bays with a fixed, uniform pallet layout.
