The beam is installed to create bays for pallet storage and to realize the supporting structure of the racking bay. This type is often used when you want to restore an existing setup after damage, or when a racking configuration is adjusted to new pallet sizes and goods flows.

As an alternative, a combination of 2 euro pallets and 1 block pallet (three pallets in total) also fits. This size corresponds to bays specifically set up for this type of pallet.
