Together with the uprights, the beam forms the level on which pallets or carriers are placed. By using locking pins, you prevent the beam from unintentionally coming loose upon impact or when driving in and out with a forklift or reach truck, contributing to a safe and tidy warehouse layout.

According to the NEN-EN 15512 standard, a minimum clearance of 75 mm between pallets is maintained, which translates to an average maximum pallet width of 1000 mm. Alternatively, a combination of 1 euro pallet and 2 block pallets (three pallets in total) also fits. This length is often chosen for racking bays with a fixed, uniform pallet layout.
